Lead Cable Assembly Technician

Lead Service Loop & Cable Assembly TechnicianA growing industrial manufacturing company in the Greenspoint area is seeking an experienced Lead Service Loop & Cable Assembly Technician to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with experience building complex cable assemblies, service loops, or similar industrial electrical products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on the shop floor, leading and training other technicians, reading technical drawings, and ensuring assemblies are built, tested, and documented according to specifications.What You'll DoLead the daily production of service loops, bridles, and power, control, and instrumentation cable assembliesRead and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, pinout schedules, bills of material, and work instructionsMeasure, cut, prepare, route, bundle, terminate, and assemble cables and connectorsAssign work and provide hands-on guidance and training to other techniciansInspect work at key stages of production to ensure quality and accuracyComplete production travelers and document material identification, measurements, inspections, and test resultsPerform or coordinate electrical testing, including continuity, pinout, and insulation resistance testing as requiredIdentify drawing discrepancies, material issues, and nonconforming work and communicate concerns promptlyAssist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues before work continuesSupport final inspections, customer witness testing, packaging, and shipment preparationMaintain a safe, organized, and productive work environmentWhat We're Looking ForHands-on experience building industrial cable assemblies, service loops, wire harnesses, or similar electrical productsStrong knowledge of cable preparation, connector assembly, and electrical terminationsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructionsPrevious experience leading, training, or mentoring technicians in a manufacturing or production environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipComfortable performing inspections, testing, and production documentationAbility to organize work, communicate clearly, and keep production moving while maintaining quality and safety standardsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address issues before they impact productionPreferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus:Drilling equipmentOffshore or subsea service loopsMarine or industrial cable assembliesFiber optic assembliesIPC workmanship standardsElectrical testing equipmentWhy Consider This Opportunity?
