We do continuous integration/deployment to dev/test environments and multiple production releases per day.
This is a highly technical position that requires a broad set of technical skills that includes Linux administration and AWS database upgrade and deployment technologies, monitoring and scripting to networking and infrastructure. Additionally, we pride ourselves on site availability and speed and flexibility to accommodate business requirements.Required Skills:Work directly with our clients as a Lead AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer, senior Linux admin and database migration expertMaintain security in existing AWS accounts, infrastructure and resources based on Samsung AWS Cloud corporate security standards and AWS security best practicesLead and oversee the migration and upgrade of live databases in AWS using industry standard as well as proprietary methodologiesDevelop and maintain secure and reliable cloud infrastructure (OS patch, backup, monitoring, secure logging, and Linux user account creation)Support or modify underlying AWS infrastructure and servicesAutomate cloud deployments, as well as build CI/CD pipeline to support cloud based workloadsProvide experienced knowledge and expertise in Ubuntu Linux administration, Ansible, Cloud native automation tools, Cockroach DB, PostgreSQL and ElasticSearchDevelop and maintain technical documentationTroubleshoot technical issues in Linux and database environmentsExperience in live database upgrades and migrations in AWSUbuntu operating system upgrade from 16 to 22Elastic search software upgradeCockroachDB software upgradeJenkins software upgradeMonitoring (sensu, grafana) upgradeUbuntu operating system upgrade experienceLinux systems administrationStrong networking tcp/ipAutomated upgrades using Ansible or other automation technologyExperience creating upgrade plans including application validation.Qualifications:Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, and two years of experience in software/systems or related.8+ years overall industry experience.Experience leading DevOps teams in supporting AWS cloud upgrades, database migrations and administrationWork experience must include:Minimum of 5 years of experience.
