This position is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable leading installations in the field and programming Control4 systems independently.You'll oversee project execution, mentor other technicians when needed, and ensure every installation meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and actively participate in the installation of high-end residential AV and automation systemsProgram, configure, and commission Control4 systems independentlyInstall TVs, speakers, racks, control systems, networking equipment, shades, and related technologyTerminate, label, and test audio, video, network, and control cablingRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system documentationEnsure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standardsTroubleshoot installation and programming issues in the fieldCommunicate effectively with project managers, clients, and fellow techniciansMaintain organized job sites and uphold professional installation standardsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience installing residential or commercial AV systemsExtensive Control4 experience is requiredMust be able to independently program and commission Control4 systems—this is a non-negotiable requirementMust be comfortable performing both installation and programming dutiesExperience with Lutron, ELAN, and Crestron is a plusStrong troubleshooting and customer service skillsAbility to read blueprints and understand AV system designValid driver's license with the ability to travel for project assignmentsPhysical DemandsMust be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and lift up to 80 pounds.Compensation$45/hourTravel stipendHousing allowance while on assignmentFlights home every other week for technicians working outside of driving distanceEmployment TypeThis is a contract position with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit.
