Onsite Full Time Financial Advice & Private Banking

Sentry Hill Financial Advisors is a Boston-based financial planning firm and member of the Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group. We provide comprehensive financial planning, asset management, and risk management services designed to help clients protect, grow, and manage their wealth. Our team specializes in helping business professionals and small-business owners navigate complex financial decisions through personalized guidance and long-term relationships.

The Opportunity

This is a growth-focused role for an experienced advisor who wants to build meaningful client relationships, develop new business, and ultimately take greater ownership of their own client relationships.

The Lead Advisor will initially work alongside senior advisors to learn the Sentry Hill approach and become integrated into the firm's relationships and planning process. Over the first six months, the role is designed to transition toward independently leading client relationships while continuing to partner with senior advisors on larger and more complex planning opportunities.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys both advising clients and building relationships that lead to new business. While the firm will provide opportunities and support, the Lead Advisor will also be expected to actively build their own pipeline through referrals, networking, phone outreach, events, and other business-development activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, develop, and manage relationships with clients and prospective clients.
  • Lead planning engagements for client opportunities in the $1M-$2M range and partner with senior advisors on $2M-$10M+ relationships and larger estate-planning cases.
  • Conduct client and prospective-client meetings and provide thoughtful, timely follow-up.
  • Develop new business through a combination of firm-generated opportunities and personal lead generation, including referrals, networking, events, and phone outreach.
  • Prepare for client cases and prospective-client meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and generate introductions to new prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate and complete CRM records, including case notes, prospect information, household information, and client segmentation.
  • Continue developing expertise in the Sentry Hill approach, financial planning, investments, insurance, and firm processes.
  • Collaborate with the broader advisory and support team to create a strong and consistent client experience.

Once fully ramped, the role includes meaningful client-facing and business-development activity, with a target of approximately 15 client meetings per week, including approximately five meetings with new prospects, along with consistent referral generation, networking, and prospect outreach.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of experience in a client-facing financial sales or advisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing client relationships and generating new business.
  • Working knowledge of investment and insurance products and services, with the ability to incorporate both into client conversations and financial planning.
  • Experience working with affluent clients.
  • Series 7 and Series 63 registrations.
  • Massachusetts Life, Accident & Health licenses.
  • CFP® certification or a commitment to earning the designation within one year.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Series 65 or Series 66.
  • Experience working with business owners and high-net-worth clients.

Who Thrives Here

We're looking for someone who:

  • Takes initiative and can work through challenges independently.
  • Is coachable and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Is motivated by results, professional growth, and earning potential.
  • Is resilient and comfortable with the persistence required to develop new business.
  • Effectively prioritizes activities that create value for clients and drive growth.
  • Works well within a team and communicates openly, honestly, and respectfully.
  • Is willing to go beyond the basic requirements of the role when clients or teammates need support.

Base Salary Range:

$125,000-$150,000 (Full-Time)

Benefits include:

  • Health, dental, and vision.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Firm-paid group life, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.
  • 401(k) with an employer match.
  • Paid exam costs, along with license and professional-designation bonuses.

Why Sentry Hill?

This is an opportunity for an experienced advisor to join an established practice, work with affluent and high-net-worth clients, and continue building their career with greater responsibility for client relationships and new business.

At Sentry Hill Financial Advisors, clients receive comprehensive planning, asset management, and risk management services supported by a team of advisors and specialists. Our approach focuses on understanding each client's full financial picture and developing strategies tailored to their individual needs and goals.

If you're an experienced financial professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and helping clients navigate complex financial decisions, we'd like to hear from you.
