About the Role
Lead Accountant role supporting a firm downtown Milwaukee with full general ledger accounting, financial statement reporting, payroll administration, tax reporting, and support for external audits.
Responsibilities
- Communicating effectively with clients
- Full general ledger accounting and financial statement reporting for multiple clients
- Preparing financial statements and reports, including balance sheet and profit and loss statement, with a focus on accrual basis of accounting
- Payroll administration and reporting
- Assist in the preparation and providing information to external auditors
- Preparing reconciliations and journal entries
- Preparation of 1099 forms
- Sales and Use tax reporting
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with QuickBooks
- 5+ years of accounting experience
