Layout InspectorHowmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Layout Inspector to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey.The work hours for this 1st shift position are Monday to Friday 8AM-4:30PM.Training will occur on Day Shift (Monday - Friday 6:00 - 2:30p) for several months.Anticipated Pay Range: $35.27 - $38.00 per hour. Create reports and document on AS9102 form or as required by customer specifications. Review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement within the scope of this job description.Environmental Health & Safety ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspection layouts on castings and gauges, casting to gauge correlations, gauge design verifications and R&R studies using various metrology tools and associated softwareDocument all inspection work, sketches, CAD information as per internal and external requirementsCommunicate with engineers, toolmakers, vendors, customers and managers as requiredProficient with speaking and reading EnglishExceptional attention to detailStrong math skills related to dimensional inspection and blueprint interpretationAble and willing to assist, and train new technicians and shop floor personnelAbility and willingness to learn and program CMM Machines, ATOS scan box and other inspection equipmentAbility to remove material to expose internal inspection features using belting, grinding and wire EDM equipmentAssist with supporting manufacturing operations as related to dimensional inspection; gaging, CMM, ATOS, Airflow, etc.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisionEssential Job FunctionsMust meet job responsibility of prior levels as well as the following responsibility.Able to satisfactorily complete testing as layout inspection i.e. PW Airfoil Inspection qualification and or similar customer requirements.Exceptional attention to detail.Able and willing to assist, and train new technicians.Program CMM Machines.Work towards CAD/CMM interface able to pass test in related expertise.Review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement within the scope of this job description.QualificationsBasic QualificationsEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
