Associates support the firm’s civil litigation and trial practice through legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, assisting with case strategy under the guidance of senior attorneys.Day-to-day work includes case analysis, discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, law & motion practice, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation and advocacy.Associates appear in state and federal courts for hearings, depositions, and trials, while maintaining organized case files and meeting all deadlines.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sacramento with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility to support both collaboration and focused individual work.Associates have modest monthly billing requirements, along with competitive pay, bonus structures, and benefits.

Qualifications include strong legal research and writing skills, litigation-focused skills such as discovery management, case analysis, preparation for hearings and depositions, and familiarity with civil procedure.Professional communication abilities are essential, including client interaction, negotiation, and effective collaboration with colleagues and court personnel.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple matters, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate case documentation.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership, or eligibility for prompt admission, to the California Bar.Commitment to ethical practice, sound judgment, and a respectful, inclusive approach to working with diverse clients and colleagues are necessary. 100K-135K DOE
