Law Library Administrative AssociateBaylor University is seeking a Law Library Administrative Associate. The Law Library Administrative Associate will support the mission of the university by performing daily operations of the Law Library Administration office. This position reports to the Director of the Law Library.An associate's degree and a year of relevant work experience are required.
A bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience are preferred. A combination of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree and/or years of experience.Additional qualifications include:Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, spreadsheets, and document managementStrong organizational, communication and detail-oriented skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionApplicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.What You Will Do:Oversee day-to-day operations and provide support to other team members, including the Director of the Law Library and the Law School Financial AdministratorManage office operations, office supplies, and clerical tasksSchedule and manage calendarsServe as a liaison between librarians/faculty/staff and external suppliersProactively submit facility work orders as needs arise or upon request from team membersResearch requests for library materials to determine suppliers and send order forms to Financial AdministratorRequest missing materials from suppliersWhen appropriate, distribute notification of the availability of materials orderedWork directly with Law Library users, librarians, and suppliers to resolve problematic title requestsFile and maintain documentationManage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and distributing the mailDemonstrate ownership of work and take initiativeSupervise and train student assistantsCross-train with other Law Library departments, including Circulation and SerialsPerforming all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's missionAbility to comply with University policiesMaintaining regular and punctual attendanceWhat You Can Expect:As part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.
