Law Clerk Position at aiLegal
We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented law clerks to join aiLegal. The ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment, take ownership of assigned cases, and consistently meet monthly productivity benchmarks.
The position requires deep familiarity with USCIS, DOL and/or EOIR procedures, strong case management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality legal work under tight timelines within our flat-rate, credit-hour model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Preparation & Management
- Prepare, draft, and assemble immigration filing, including but not limited to:
- Fundamental Category:
- I-130, I-485, I-751, I-129F
- NIV Consular, IV Consular
- F-1, B1/B2, N-400, I-765, I-131
- RFE, NOID, NOIR, Motion, or Appeal with the USCIS
- Specialty:
- Track #1: Humanitarian and Removal
- I-918, I-914, I-360 VAWA, I-360 SIJ, I-601, I-601A, I-212
- EOIR-42A/B, I-589 asylum, EOIR motions
- Track #2: Business
- H-1B, PERM, TN, E-3
- Track #3: Investment
- L-1A, EB-1C, E-2, EB-5, I-941 Parole
- Track #4: Talent
- EB-1A, EB-1B, NIW, O-1
- Conduct legal research, and draft legal briefs in support novel or complex legal issues
- Manage and update case pipelines using aiLegal's proprietary AI platform and case management software
- Monitor deadlines and ensure all filings are timely and compliant with court and USCIS requirements
- Conduct structured client interviews, gather supporting evidence, and ensure accuracy of factual records.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates and ensure client satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, intake specialists, and other paralegals in a structured assembly-line pipeline.
- Ensure case files meet aiLegal's internal quality standards and procedural checklists before attorney review.
- Meet or exceed 100 credit hours per month in completed deliverables.
- Maintain daily time and productivity logs.
- Support the Managing Attorney in achieving team-level output targets (100 x team headcount monthly credit hours).
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an ABA credited U.S. law school.
- Minimum 1 year of immigration law experience (family, business, humanitarian, removal defense, or federal litigation focus).
- Proficiency in USCIS, EOIR, and federal immigration procedures.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Strong organizational and accountability skills, proven record of meeting deadlines and productivity goals.
- Familiarity with Jira or equivalent project/case management tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
Job Performance Expectation:
- Monthly Output: Minimum 100 credit hours of completed work.
- Quality: Zero-tolerance for any preventable errors - wrong personal data, missing pages/signatures, missing/wrong filing fee payments (issuance date, payee name, amount), form editions, filing addresses, missing form page, or wrong orders of forms, missing signatures or dates, missed filing/hearing deadlines, or failure to follow SOP.
- Responsiveness: All internal communications acknowledged and responded within 2 hours and all external communication acknowledged and responded within 24 hours;
- Collaboration: Active participation in structured case assembly-line processes and cross-team reviews.

Salary: $25 - $30 per hour
