Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our growing Las Vegas office. HMC practices Workers' Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA employer representation, and industrial insurance litigation, representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. This position offers hands-on litigation experience, providing the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on legal research, drafting, case management, and all phases of litigation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Legal Research: Conduct research on various legal topics and provide summaries of findings to support the firm's attorneys. • Document Preparation: Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence. • Case Management: Support case management tasks, such as scheduling court appearances, preparing case summaries and documents, and organizing case files. • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and others as directed by the firm's attorneys. • Be able to collaborate and work on a team as well as individually. • Ability to meet or exceed monthly billing requirements. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree. Must be currently in law school or have graduated from law school. • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. • Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of the legal system and legal terminology. • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients. • Daily use of the electronic case management system, Filevine, to keep case files organized and up to date. • Be passionate about the practice of law and strive to exemplify the highest levels of respect and performance. • This is an in-office position, so you must reside in the Southern Nevada area. • Ability to bring A-game daily! Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 annual salary dependent on experience

Compensation:
$65,000-$80,000 per year
