Law Clerk II - Washington, DC

Seeking a professional to provide litigation support for a prestigious client. This role demands exceptional legal writing and research skills, along with the ability to work closely with attorneys on complex cases. The position requires a commitment to working on-site five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex legal research and prepare draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
- Act independently or as a team leader on larger projects.
- Serve as the primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff.
Required Skills:
- Minimum two years of experience in litigation support or related projects.
- Proven communication skills to interact successfully with clients and attorneys.
- Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Understanding of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- Strong attention to detail in legal writing and research.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in claims assessment and analysis.
