Laundry ProcessorPerforms a variety of duties primarily related to the receiving, handling, and sorting of soiled linens within an elderly daycare setting.
Responsibilities include emptying soiled laundry bags, sorting linen, and placing items into appropriate designated containers. In addition to laundry functions, the position supports daily daycare operations by helping maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for elderly participants and assisting staff as needed to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality care. Services include but are not limited to passing food trays, passing arts/crafts, exercises, social activities, walking/escorting participants.Responsibilities:Laundry OperationsInfection ControlSafety & Equipment UseDocumentation & Quality AssuranceDaycare OperationQualifications / Requirements:High school diploma or high school equivalency.Previous laundry or environmental services experience in a healthcare setting preferred.One year of experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred.CPR certified.Food Handlers Card.Required SkillsKnowledge, skills, and abilities:Basic understanding of infection control practices.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.Bilingual (English/Spanish).Basic Computer Skills.Ability to maintain and demonstrate competency skills.Requires understanding, patience and professionalism in working and communicating with participants, visitors, families, personnel and medical staff.Ability to follow Bienvivir policies and procedures pertaining to duties performed.Demonstrates professionalism in the delivery of participants care.Ability to manage confidential data according to policy and procedure and HIPPA regulations.Must possess good time management skills.
