Launch Quality EngineernTimpl has partnered up with a 1-tier automotive supplier for global company andnis looking for a Launch Quality Engineer.nnDepartment : LaunchnReport to: Launch ManagernLocation : Clinton, TN nnnII-1. General Descriptionn 1. Develops and maintains quality methodologies, systems, and practices to meetn the Customer's needs.n 2. Support quality engineering tasks from program inception through 90 daysn post SOP, including; contract review, product design reviews, developn receiving inspection plans, develop process capability review in an manufacturing setting, manufacturing process approval, determine customern approval needs, support scrap and rework reduction efforts, and customern corrective action requests.nnnII-2. Key Roles and Responsibilitiesn 1. Work closely with test and process engineers during pre-production ton improve reliabilityn 2. Support the development and implementation of new product manufacturingn processes and validationn 3. Responsible for identifying critical characteristics during the initialn design phase & implementation of check methods in assembly processn 4. Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internally utilizing andn sharing prior experience in product realization and lessons learnedn 5. Evaluation of new products, design improvements, processing, and costn reduction effortsn 6. Support customer and internal design reviewsn 7. Support all customer meetings & deadlines as required to meeting programn timing/requirementsn 8. Provide in-depth product and process knowledge to all related departmentsn 9. Champion APQP process (PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow etc)n 10. Support Customer / Supplier PPAP activitiesn 11. Perform and analyze failure analysis / Prevention (poke yoken implementation)n 12. Regularly check, update, answer inputs on Customer Portals (GQTS, Covisint,n G3PS, GPIRS)nnnnII-3. Job RequirementsnII-3-1. Work Experiencen 1. 1+ years in automotive manufacturing environment or in a Quality relatedn backgroundn 2. Thorough knowledge and experience with validation requirements & processesn 3. Ability to review and analyze technical specifications and requirementsn 4. PFMEA/CP/Process Flow Generation ExperiencennII-3-2. Educationn 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering focusing heavily in electronics, orn equivalent experiencen 2. Experience with validation standards, specifications, and OEM requirementsnnII-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilitiesn 1. Thorough knowledge of ANSI GD&T principles and applicationsn 2. Thorough knowledge of measuring systems/tools (CMM, Comparator, Calipers,n micrometers, etc)n 3. Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer skills. n 4. Ability to navigate in a drawing/CAD program n 5. Thorough knowledge of Quality systems and procedures.n 6. Must work well in a team environment and/or independently.n 7. Thorough knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting or root causen analysis methodologiesn 8. Ability to lead and direct Quality initiatives.
