Latin America Credit Risk OfficerCorporate Title: Vice PresidentLocation: New York, NYOverviewThe Latin America Credit Risk Management credit team is tasked with managing the credit risk inherent in Deutsche Bank's business activities with Latin American clients, including corporates, banks, non-bank financial institutions and sovereign counterparties across the region.As a Credit Officer you will be responsible for handling loan, derivative (complex and vanilla) and trade-related approvals, setting and monitoring counterparty credit limits, negotiating credit terms in relevant agreements, and interfacing with senior management and business personnel on risk issues.What We Offer YouA diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaborationA hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer daysEmployee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagementCompetitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefitsEducational resources, matching gift and volunteer programsWhat You'll DoThe credit officer will be responsible for the risk management of a portfolio of Latin American counterparties spread across different jurisdictions and asset classesProvide approval or declination of credit transactions for Latin American clients under delegated credit authorities, or recommend approval to senior Risk officers, ensuring alignment with risk appetite for the relevant Business Unit, Industry and Legal Entity, as well as compliance with Deutsche Bank's credit standards, policies and proceduresIndependently analyze various risk elements of credit transactions in Latin America. Assess the credit strength of the Corporate, FI and Sovereign counterparties and identify structural weaknesses on proposed credit transactions. Assess transaction risks, based upon individual transaction structure, collateral, credit enhancements and documentation, recommend enhancements where necessaryDefine and negotiate credit terms in legal documentation (ISDA/ CSA, GMRA, loan agreements, etc.) to ensure that documentation allows for proactive risk managementAssist in rating and structuring transactions to achieve optimal risk/return outcomesAct as intermediary between business units and senior credit committees to facilitate credit approval and monitoring processesMonitor individual credit/risk positions and developments within given portfolios, Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirementsHow You'll LeadA reliable team player with a proactive can do attitude and strong work ethicInfluencing, problem solving and stakeholder management skillAct as intermediary between business units and senior credit stakeholders to facilitate credit approval and monitoring processesSkills You'll NeedModerate experience of previous credit (corporates /financial institutions) in Latin American markets;Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fieldsFluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
