Lathe Set Up/Operator

CNC Lathe OperatorWe're seeking a CNC Lathe Operator who is interested in growing into setup and programming. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable manufacturing company that offers hands-on training and the chance to develop additional machining skills. This is a low-volume, high-mix environment where flexibility is important.

Rather than running the same part all day, you'll perform frequent setups and work in other manufacturing areas as production needs change. If you're someone who enjoys variety and wants to expand your CNC skills, we'd like to speak with you.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate 2-axis CNC lathes (Hardinge & YCM)Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and part specificationsPerform 2-5 machine setups per day in a low-volume production environmentInspect parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicatorsMake tool wear offsets and minor program edits as neededVerify first-piece quality and maintain tight tolerances throughout productionAssist in other manufacturing areas when machining demand is lowerMaintain a safe, organized work areaQualificationsExperience operating CNC lathes; setup experience preferredCandidates with solid CNC operator experience who are eager to learn setup and programming are encouraged to applyExperience with Fanuc controls preferredAbility to read blueprints and use precision measuring instrumentsBasic understanding of G-code/M-code edits is a plusExperience machining stainless steel is helpfulAble to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsWhat We OfferDirect hire positionCompetitive pay DOETraining in CNC setup and programmingStable first-shift opportunityDiverse work in a team-oriented manufacturing environmentInova Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer
