Sullivan & Cromwell is seeking second-year through fifth-year associates to join the Firm's Financial Services Group in our New York or Washington, D.C. offices. Candidates should have at least 18 months prior experience at a major law firm with experience working with financial services firms on regulatory, capital markets and/or M&A matters.

We help clients navigate novel legal, regulatory and business challenges, drawing on deep experience across the financial services industry.

Our practice is distinguished by its industry-focused, multidisciplinary approach in which lawyers, including associates, work as generalists across multiple disciplines, including regulatory, M&A, capital markets, digital assets, fintech and related practices. Through our generalist approach, we focus heavily on hands-on experience, training and mentorship, preparing our more senior lawyers to ultimately be total advisors, across a range of issues and disciplines.

The associate base salary is tied to assigned associate class year. The standard scale is included below.

Class of 2026: $235,000

Class of 2025: $235,000

Class of 2024: $245,000

Class of 2023: $270,000

Class of 2022: $320,000

Class of 2021: $385,000

Class of 2020: $410,000

Class of 2019: $440,000

Class of 2018: $455,000

Class of 2017: $455,000
