You will be responsible for making sure that you are cutting parts on the Laser to the most current programs and revisions, and that all paperwork is filled out correctly. You will get a First Piece Inspection on all parts that you run, but only after you verify that the parts that you are cutting are conforming to the drawing and that you have measured dimensions that you can check yourself. You may be asked to help put away incoming raw material at times. You will help to load and unload material onto the machines as needed.
You will be asked to run two Lasers at that same time if you are running a long running job.Location: Stuart, FL – On Site. Monday to Friday, 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM (10% Shift Differential)ResponsibilitiesLoading and unloading material on the machinesEnsure that the parts that are coming off of the Laser are conforming to the drawingGetting a First Piece Inspection on all parts that are cut in the departmentUsing basic measuring tools to take measurements of the partsPackaging parts that have been cut to go to the various departments within the facilityCut and drill holes per process back-up sheetPerform set-ups per back-up sheets.Inspect work per back-up sheets, using micrometers, height gages and calipers.Identifying and pull correct materialResponsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, material, scrap, time, according to Company policyAssist in equipment maintenance.Call up programs per back-up sheets.Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.Preferred QualificationsExperience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.Some Mechanical skillsAbility to be on your feet all dayWillingness to learn new skillsStrong computer skillsSelf-starter/motivated team playerKnowledge of the laser head, power supply, pulse forming network, optical system and the movement system of the laser.Working ConditionsMust be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floorOccasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
