Overview

Grant Thornton is seeking a detail-oriented and hard-working Laptop Imaging Technician to join our Laptop Depot team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You will be responsible for imaging and configuring Windows laptops in bulk, ensuring each device meets company standards and is ready for deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Image and configure Windows laptops in bulk using SCCM task sequences (initiation only).
  • Perform first-time setup steps for new laptops, including required software and configuration.
  • Assist with laptop refresh projects, including device replacement and data migration.
  • Conduct quality control and assurance on all imaged laptops.
  • Troubleshoot imaging issues (e.g., PXE boot), document findings, and escalate as needed.
  • Accurately update tickets and asset management systems.
  • Wipe retired assets and coordinate returns to leasing companies.
  • Move and organize laptops on a large imaging bench (up to 60 laptops at a time).
  • Schedule repairs with hardware vendors and process asset return packages.
  • Collaborate as part of a 5-person team, reporting to the Laptop Imaging Depot Team Lead.
  • Provide high-volume service while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows laptop imaging (SCCM task sequence experience preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in IT support, desktop deployment, or similar technical roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Fast typing or touch typing skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and move quickly between workstations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Relevant IT certifications are highly desirable, such as:
    • CompTIA A+
    • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Client
    • Any other industry-recognized IT certifications
  • Business casual dress required.
Interview Process
  • 30-45 minute technical interview with the Depot Lead and the Manager of End User Technology.
