We are looking to engage professionals who want to grow in an environment where we value ethics, client engagement, positive community impact and professional growth as a path to success and building a rewarding career.Learn more about VHB's Land Development team here: Land Development | VHBResponsibilitiesDirect projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organizationOversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including conducting periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback with teammatesPrepare agreements and manage the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimatesAnalyze complex technical challenges and develop new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutionsPromote career development, training and career path planning for all of your direct team members.Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projectsSkills and AttributesWillingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skillsKnowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulationsExhibits strong leadership skills and growth potentialHas interest in growing business development skillsQualificationsBS in Civil Engineering or related degree8-11 years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects preferredPE licensure in NC or ability to obtain within 6 monthsProficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater managementExperience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reportsUnderstanding of North Carolina marketExperience with GIS Systems is a plus – GIS is one of the tools we use to create better projectsProficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS OfficeBuilding what's next, together.Our people make the difference.
