Laboratory TechnologistnAbout the RolenThe Laboratory Technologist supports the Quality Assurance function by performingnanalytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished food products. This rolenreports to the Sr. QA Laboratory Manager and works closely with Research & Development,nQuality, and Commercialization teams to ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, andnconsistent quality throughout the development and production lifecycle.nTo be successful in this role, you must have a passion for science and a desire to excel in thenfood industry.nKey Responsibilitiesn§ Conduct routine laboratory analyses including chemical, visual and physical testingnaccording to established methods and SOPs.n§ Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all test results, deviations, andncorrective actions.n§ Review product testing results, including Certificate of Analysis (COAs) for finishednproduct.n§ Assist with validation of new analytical methods and continuous improvement ofnexisting testing protocols.n§ Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment (pH meters, titrators,nviscometers, moisture analyzers, etc.)n§ Provide analytical support for investigations related to non-conformances, customerncomplaints, and process deviations.n§ Manage shelf-life study projects from start to finish, including sample preparation,ntime-point testing, sensory set up, data interpretation, and final reporting.n§ Uphold all food safety, regulatory, and company quality standards, including propernhandling of chemicals and laboratory reagents.n§ Assist with the hazardous waste program, including proper labeling, storage,ndocumentation, and coordination of waste pickups in compliance with regulatorynrequirements.n§ Manage PPE inventory, ensuring appropriate protective equipment is available,nstocked, and compliant with safety standards.n§ Manage laboratory supplies and chemicals, track inventory, and ensure materials arenavailable to support daily testing and project needs.n§ Travel to production facilities as necessary, to validate testing procedures and ensurenaccurate testing results for new finished products.nQualificationsn§ Location: In office role in Jacksonville, FLn§ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related fieldn§ Experience: 0-2 years in a lab settingn§ Proficient in basic laboratory techniques, laboratory documentation practices, andnsafe handling of chemicals.n§ Familiar with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), laboratory equipment andndocumentation systems.n§ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow standardized procedures.n§ Ability to work standing for extended periods of time in a laboratory environment.n§ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.n§ Effective communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with R&D, QAnand Commercialization teams.n§ Ability to travel up to 20% based on company needs.nAbout Rubix FoodsnRubix Foods is a full-service product development house with end- to-end manufacturingncapabilities.
