Job Description
Join a dynamic Quality Control Seed Health Testing team where your work ensures the integrity and safety of agricultural products. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced laboratory environment, supporting critical testing processes that impact global food security.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory assays including Bacteriology, PCR, ELISA, Mycology , and greenhouse‑based tests following established SOPs.
- Prepare samples for testing and maintain accurate records in Word, Excel, and LIMS databases .
- Manage lab inventory, prepare buffers and media, and maintain equipment.
- Support general lab operations including dishwashing and housekeeping.
- Complete independent projects alongside routine work as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Manual labor tasks such as weighing seed samples, grinding, and preparing buffers for sample prep.
- Assist senior lab technicians with prepping seeds for analytical testing.
Must-Haves
- 1+ years of experience with a STEM education background.
- Strong interest and aptitude for working in a lab environment.
- Reliable attendance and availability for the entire contract.
- Interest in STEM.
Plusses
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- Agricultural/Crop Science background (seed industry experience is a big plus).
