Job Title: Laboratory Technician II
Location: Cleveland, OH 44111 - on W2 (without benefits)
Duration: 12 months contract on W2 + possible extension or conversion
Job Description
- Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished product samples to verify conformity to specifications.
- Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
- Record test results on batch tickets and in the company’s computer operating system.
- Organize and maintain quality records and retain production/intermediate batches and raw material champions.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests.
- Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain the housekeeping of the working place.
- Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy.
- Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
- Perform 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
- Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two-year technical degree preferred (Quality, Engineering, or other sciences) or three or more years of related experience and/or training.
- Two (2) years analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
