- Assigns, oversees, and reviews the work of employees.
- Directs all phases of work, quality, service, and costs; and performs tests or assays as required.
- Responsible for reviewing/approval of specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
- Manages laboratory QC including equipment calibration.
- Monitors quality of work for compliance to laboratory standards.
- Provides technologist coverage as necessary during peak workloads and staff absences.
- Performs personnel related functions (hiring, firing, discipline, training, etc..)

Qualifications
License/Certification/Education:
- B.S Degree in Medical Technology
- 1-3 years of experience.
- Must meet all State & Local licensing requirements where the laboratory is located and must meet CLIA requirements.
- Hematology experience required.
- Must be qualified as a Hematology Technical Supervisor as defined by CLIA regulations.
- Medical Technologist ASCP certified.
