Laboratory Prep Technician

To support laboratory operations, the full-time Laboratory Prep Technician will perform specimen preparation, accessioning, and basic processing tasks on-site in Springfield, Massachusetts during the 3rd shift. Key responsibilities: Verifies specimen identity and appropriateness, accurately entering orders into the Laboratory Information System Processes various specimen types while ensuring proper preservation and handling according to departmental protocols Prepares basic laboratory reagents and may perform staining techniques as needed Required qualifications: High school diploma or GED 0-12 months of experience, preferably in a laboratory environment Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety protocols Good computer skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume setting Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
