Labor Time Technician
We are seeking a versatile individual capable of working on all aspects of a vehicle. This role involves timing the process of disassembling and reassembling vehicles, with a focus on optimizing these procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate service procedures directly on vehicles.
- Identify and correct errors and suggest optimizations in service procedures.
- Conduct time studies for removal and installation processes.
- Document validations and time studies comprehensively.
- Communicate project status to leadership as needed.
- Undertake special assignments as requested.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 ASE certifications (specifically A1‑A8).
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in automotive servicing—including diagnostics, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to conduct detailed time studies to measure the duration of various repair and maintenance tasks.
- Skill in validating and optimizing service procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Competence in technical documentation: documenting procedures, time studies, and validations clearly and comprehensively.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify inefficiencies and develop process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting findings and informing leadership.
- Teamwork and collaboration ability to work with other technicians and departments.
- Adaptability to new methods, tools, and technologies as they evolve.
- Time‑management skills to complete tasks within deadlines.
- Customer‑service orientation, understanding and addressing the needs of internal and external customers.
