Labor Law attorney needed

New York Trial Attorney

We are seeking an experienced New York-licensed Trial Attorney with 5+ years of experience handling New York Labor Law and construction injury matters to join our litigation team.

This is a fully remote trial attorney position offering the flexibility of working remotely while requiring periodic check-ins at our Garden City or White Plains office, as well as court appearances and other in-person obligations as necessary.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished litigator who can independently manage complex Labor Law and construction-related personal injury matters from inception through trial.

Responsibilities

• Handle Labor Law §§ 240(1), 241(6), and 200 matters.
• Manage construction injury and related personal injury litigation from inception through trial.
• Conduct depositions, examinations before trial, motion practice, court conferences, and settlement negotiations.
• Develop litigation strategy and case evaluations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery demands/responses, mediation submissions, and trial materials.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, contractors, subcontractors, witnesses, and experts.
• Appear in state and federal courts as appropriate.
• Work closely with clients, claims professionals, experts, and other attorneys.
• Maintain an active caseload and independently manage litigation deadlines.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Bar license required.
• 5+ years of Labor Law litigation experience.
• Significant experience handling construction accident/injury matters.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, negotiation, and trial skills.
• Ability to independently manage a substantial litigation caseload.
• Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Willingness and ability to periodically check into the Garden City or White Plains office and attend required court appearances.
