Labor Employment Attorney

Overview

Available opportunity in our historic downtown Riverside office for a 3-10 year experienced attorney to join our Labor & Employment / Business Litigation team.

Responsibilities

• Apply experience in all forms of harassment and discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and class action / PAGA defense in civil litigation, as well as in administrative and arbitration forums.
• Provide counseling to employers regarding labor and employment law compliance.
• Handle business litigation matters as part of the Labor & Employment / Business Litigation team.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational and interpersonal abilities; acute attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Work independently with initiative and exercise ethical judgment.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of attorney experience, with a strong background in litigation and labor & employment matters.
• Prior experience in harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and class action / PAGA defense in civil litigation, as well as administrative and arbitration forums.
• Prior counseling experience for employers on labor and employment law compliance.
• Business litigation experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage cases; acute attention to detail; initiative; independent work ethic; and ethical judgment.
