Duties
- Represent public agency and private sector clients in labor and employment litigation and counseling matters.
- Manage matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Advise clients on personnel and employment-related issues.
- Lead significant portions of litigation matters and collaborate with junior team members.
- Help mentor and develop attorneys within the practice group.
- Participate in practice and client development efforts.
Requirements
- 5-12 years of litigation experience; labor and employment experience preferred.
- Trial experience is a plus.
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage complex matters and bring projects to completion.
- Interest in mentoring and developing junior attorneys.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building client relationships.
Education
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active California bar license in good standing.
