The Law Office of Stephanie F. Dominguez is seeking an experienced California employment attorney to join our growing Workplace Law Division.

This is a fully remote position offering meaningful case ownership, direct client contact, substantial autonomy, and the opportunity to handle both California workplace matters and specialized federal employment-law matters.

Attorneys are not expected to build a book of business on their own.

We also promote our attorneys through professionally developed educational content across professional channels and social media. Content is reviewed and approved by the attorney before publication and is designed to help build professional visibility, strengthen the attorney’s professional profile, and demonstrate subject‑matter knowledge.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a California-licensed attorney with a minimum of two years of experience practicing employment law .

This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing matters from intake through resolution, developing litigation strategy, working directly with clients, and assuming meaningful responsibility for case outcomes.

You will have substantial autonomy and ownership of your matters while working within a collaborative, fully remote firm environment.

The role also offers the opportunity to develop experience in the specialized area of federal employment law while handling a broad range of California workplace-law matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute case strategy
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and supporting declarations
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Represent clients before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and MSPB
  • Handle state and federal workplace-law matters
  • Serve as primary counsel through hearing, trial, settlement, or final disposition

LOCATION

Fully remote.

Applicants may reside anywhere in California.

The successful candidate must be willing and able to handle occasional in‑person court appearances, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and other proceedings, primarily in Southern California, when reasonably required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • Minimum of two years of experience practicing employment law
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent communication and client‑management abilities
  • Demonstrated history of professional reliability and employment stability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience representing federal employees before the EEOC, MSPB, OWCP, or related administrative agencies
  • Experience with public‑sector employment law
  • Experience with labor‑law matters
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations
  • Experience with MyCase or similar practice‑management software
  • Experience with contemporaneous billable‑time entry

COMPENSATION

$130,000–$220,000 base salary , depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated performance.

Additional performance‑based compensation opportunities may be available.

Attorneys who originate qualified new matters for the firm may also be eligible for additional origination compensation , subject to firm policies and the terms established for the matter.

Core business hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
