Labor & Employment Attorney

A prestigious Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with three to five years of experience to join its Labor & Employment Department in the New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience representing employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and before government agencies. Traditional labor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise employers on a broad range of employment law matters.
• Handle discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
• Advise on wage and hour compliance and disputes, including class and collective actions.
• Counsel clients regarding compliance with the FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local leave laws.
• Handle breach of contract and whistleblower claims.
• Advise on the enforcement and defense of noncompete and non-solicitation agreements.
• Represent employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and before government agencies.
• Provide strong written and oral advocacy on behalf of clients.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant Labor & Employment experience.
• Experience representing employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and before government agencies.
• Experience advising employers across a broad range of employment law matters.
• Traditional labor experience is a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Active New York license in good standing is required.
• Competitive salary range of $230,000–$265,000 .
• Compensation will be based on factors including relevant experience and qualifications.
