My client is a boutique law firm specializing in Labor & Employment, Workplace Safety - OSHA/MSHA, and Litigation. Serving a wide range of clients, from multinational corporations to start-ups, the firm provides strategic counsel on employment matters, regulatory investigations, and complex litigation. Known for its focus on workplace challenges and creative problem-solving, the firm prioritizes efficiency and cost savings through a lean structure and cloud-based technology.
Role Description
You will provide legal counsel in labor and employment matters, represent clients in employment litigation, research legal issues, and draft detailed and effective motions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining compliance with workplace regulations and overseeing case preparation for hearings or trials.
Prior EEOC Litigation experience is a must
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent management-side clients in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings involving labor and employment-related disputes, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and traditional labor matters, including matters before the NLRB and collective bargaining negotiations.
- Support senior attorneys in all phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Assist with providing proactive counseling to employers on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior counsel on case strategy, client communications, and business development initiatives.
- Participate in firm-wide programs, webinars, and practice group initiatives within the Labor & Employment group.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- 2–6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, preferably with a focus on litigation and counseling.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-office, and remote environment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and developing a long-term career in management-side labor and employment law.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $125k-175k base . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
