The Columbus office of BakerHostetler is seeing a Labor & Employment Attorney with at least 1 year of legal experience. The candidate will work with partners and counsel in both the Columbus office and other offices across the country. Attorneys at all career stages are encouraged to apply.
This role is a non-partnership track position, with a more predictable schedule, lower billable hours requirement, and competitive salary and bonus program. Requirements
- A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school
- Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio, Florida, California, Colorado, Montana, New York, or Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of legal experience, including clerkships, judicial clerkships, or attorney experience
- Prior labor and employment law experience is preferred
- Interest, experience, or background in labor and employment law, human resources, litigation, employee relations, collective bargaining, or other related fields
- Exposure to traditional labor matters in the public or private sector is a plus
- Experience with litigation, employment-related matters, or other relevant legal practice areas is beneficial
- Superior attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to communicate clearly with clients and other team members
