Labor & Employment Associate (2–4 Years)Direct Counsel is representing a reputable law firm seeking a Labor & Employment Associate (2–4 Years) to join its Philadelphia office.This opportunity is ideal for an employment attorney with 2–4 years of defense-side labor and employment experience who is looking to work on sophisticated litigation and counseling matters within a nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice.
The role includes significant exposure to complex employment litigation, employer counseling, and class and collective action matters.Responsibilities:Defend employers in litigation involving: Wage and hour claimsDiscriminationHarassmentRetaliationAccommodation and other employment-related disputesAdvise employers on workplace compliance matters, including: Leaves of absencePerformance managementWage and hour complianceTerminationsDraft and review: Personnel policiesEmployment agreementsWorkplace-related documentsConduct legal research, draft motions and briefs, and support all phases of litigationWork closely with shareholders and clients on employment strategy and risk management mattersQualifications:2+ years of employment-specific, defense-side experienceStrong background in employment litigation and employer counselingClass and collective action experience is a plusExcellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with the initiative and ability to take ownership of mattersMust be admitted and in good standing with the Pennsylvania BarAdmission to the New Jersey Bar is preferredCompensation & Benefits:The firm offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including bonus eligibility, healthcare coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and additional wellness benefits.For more information or to apply confidentially, please contact Direct Counsel.
