The role includes a mix of litigation, compliance counseling, and day-to-day employment advisory work.ResponsibilitiesDefend employers in litigation involving: DiscriminationHarassmentRetaliationWhistleblower claimsOther employment-related disputesAdvise employers on workplace compliance issues, including: TerminationsLeaves of absencePerformance managementWage and hour mattersDraft and review: Personnel policiesEmployment agreementsWorkplace-related documentsConduct legal research, draft motions and briefs, and support all phases of litigationWork directly with clients on employment-related strategy and risk managementQualifications2–4 years of employment-specific, defense-side experience with a regional or national law firmStrong background in employment litigation and counselingExcellent academic credentials requiredStrong writing, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skillsDetail-oriented with the initiative and ability to take ownership of mattersMust be admitted and in good standing with the New Jersey BarAdmission to the New York Bar is preferredCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $200,000 – $235,000 annuallyThe firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including bonus eligibility, healthcare coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and additional wellness benefits.
