Labor & Delivery RN Manager - Acute Care

What the Role Really Is

This is a hands-on leadership role, not just administrative.

Operations & Leadership

• Manage daily staffing and unit operations
• Lead and support nursing staff (large team)
• Act as a bridge between frontline staff and hospital leadership

Quality & Outcomes

• Monitor maternal & neonatal outcomes
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and protocols
• Drive performance improvement initiatives

Coordination

• Work closely with physicians, admin, and other departments
• Support overall Women’s Services strategy

On-Call Responsibility

• Every 3rd week
• Mostly remote support , escalation handling

Requirements

• Recent (within 1 year) L&D leadership experience REQUIRED
• • Charge Nurse
  • Supervisor
  • Manager
• Active RN license
• ADN minimum
• BSN preferred
