Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, you will perform technical functions with a high level of initiative and independence. This role focuses on the testing of coatings, precise data collection, and executing experimental protocols within a safe laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Testing & Evaluation: Perform routine testing of coatings and accurately evaluate, collect, and record experimental data.
• Experimentation: Participate in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures.
• Documentation: Summarize and report experimental results cleanly in a dedicated laboratory notebook.
• Data Entry: Utilize computer software to enter data and information, including creating structured charts and tables.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Biology, or related science).
• Experience: 1+ years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Technical Skills: Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Protocol Adherence: Strong ability to understand and strictly follow experimental protocols for data preservation.
• Safety: Comfortable and fully capable of working with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices and safety protocols.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
