Responsibilities

  • Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing by correctly labeling, processing, and documenting samples.
  • Explain procedures and establish trust with patients to create a comfortable environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen collection and processing activities.
  • Ensure a safe and professional environment, adhering to confidentiality and safety standards.
  • Perform daily tasks accurately and on time while demonstrating leadership behaviors and process excellence.
  • Support a positive image of the organization through professional interactions with patients, staff, and the public.

Required Skills

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
  • Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills to explain procedures and create a trusting environment.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is a plus.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience essential.
  • Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed; reliable transportation required.
  • Must be available to work whenever scheduled, be punctual, and complete entire shifts without excessive absences or tardiness.
  • Candidates should list their home city/commute time within 20-25 minutes to the site on their resume.
  • Candidates currently students must have schedules that do not conflict with shift hours.
