Lab Manager - Engineering Dept
The Engineering Lab Manager is required to support the assembly/alignment/testing of RF/Microwave electronic component assemblies starting with PC sub-assemblies to modules to system integration.
Responsibilities
- Generate in-process test procedures/data sheets for PCA's, modules, and top-level system testing.
- Design and create system interface test fixturing.
- Review customer performance specifications (EQ spec) and customer supplied documentation including Parts/Material/Process program requirements and top-level system test requirements such as Thermal Cycling, Thermal Vacuum, Vibration, Shock, and EMI testing.
- Generate engineering required documentation such as failure reports, discrepant material reports (DMR), recovery test plans, engineering change notices for customer review, internal component updates, end-item data packages for customer review and acceptance, and manage data storage and maintenance of test data.
- Provide test support for engineers, technicians, and engineering associates, including tools, test equipment specific to each program, and equipment rental/purchase.
- Apply technical understanding of typical system designs, including passive designs (e.g., power dividers, lowpass/highpass/bandpass filters, crystal filters) and active designs (oscillators, amplifiers, multipliers, phase-locked loops, mixers), and temperature compensation using thermistors (PTC and NTC).
- Familiarity with EEE parts selection, including characterization/evaluation, screening, traceability, and derating requirements for space applications including radiation.
Qualifications & Education
The candidate must possess a BSEE, 10 years of engineering background, and experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems.
