Client Overview:


Our client is a consumer goods company with a NYC location. They are currently looking to add a Lab Engineering Coordinator to their team. They boast a highly regulated and very professional lab and office environment, a well-established company with thorough safety and process protocols in place, and a friendly, fast-paced environment.


Salary/Hourly Rate:


$24/hr - $26/hr


Position Overview:


We're looking for an organized, improvement-minded professional to manage material ordering and inventory for our client's Lab and Robot operations. The Lab Engineering Coordinator plays a key part in keeping the lab running smoothly by ensuring the right materials are on hand at the right time, while also helping tighten internal ordering processes. This role will expand to include robot-related responsibilities and continuous improvement projects as it matures.


Responsibilities of the Lab Engineering Coordinator:



  • Order and manage materials for the Lab and Robot from other company locations.

  • Review SAP tables regularly to verify appropriate resupply quantities are being ordered.

  • Restructure and improve internal ordering strategies to reduce unnecessary resupply orders.

  • Repack items for compounders as needed.

  • Identify and implement processes to reduce expired materials in the lab.

  • Support ongoing robot-related projects and process improvements.

  • Contribute ideas and solutions as part of a broader continuous improvement initiative.


Required Experience/Skills for the Lab Engineering Coordinator:



  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.

  • Ability to work hands-on with materials and equipment, including repacking, resupply, and inventory checks.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced lab environment.


Preferred Experience/Skills for the Lab Engineering Coordinator:



  • Engineering background or technical aptitude, given upcoming robot-related project work.

  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP/inventory systems.

  • Prior experience in a lab, manufacturing, or supply chain setting.

  • Exposure to robotics or automation is a plus.


Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or a related field such as Mathematics or Science with a passion for engineering work is required.
