The ideal candidate will possess sound scientific knowledge, management skills, and an eye for continuous improvement. Flexibility and dedication are a must. The Lab Analyst I works directly under Lab Manager and ensures all samples are received, extracted, analyzed and reported in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for day to day receipt and analysis of samplesResponsible for solution prep and trackingResponsible for maintaining equipment logs and maintenancePerform extractions and prepare samples for analysis on LC/MS, GC/MS and ICP/MSResponsible for data entry of samples in the labResponsible for understanding and following all necessary SOPsProduce quality, mistake-free work in the labEnsures resolution of errors before results are released to clientsContinuously seeks out new and better ideas, driving best practicesEnsure samples are received, requisitioned and extracted in a manner that is compliant with SOPsOther duties as assigned by managementRequirements:Bachelor degree in a science related field or one year experience in a high complexity laboratory, food testing, or environmental testing laboratoryHigh school diploma with at least 2 years experience in a high complexity laboratory, food testing, or environmental testing laboratorySome experience in a high complexity laboratory preferredSome experience with LC/MS, GC/MS and ICP/MSBenefits:Health careEmployee bonus/profit sharing
