About Us
El Lopo is a 50-seat tapas, sherry, and vermouth bar in Lower Nob Hill with a loyal neighborhood following since 2019. We pair imported Spanish pantry staples (tinned seafood, charcuterie) with local, seasonal produce. Our kitchen is small (a convection oven and a couple of burners), so we win on ingredients, not elaborate technique.
About You
The Role
You'll lead our kitchen and a team of two cooks. This is a hands-on job: about 90% cooking, plus ordering, inventory, prep lists, and scheduling. Most importantly, you'll shape the menu. We change with the seasons, and we want your dishes on it.
It's not glamorous. Some hours you're the chef, some hours you're the dishwasher. But you'll have real ownership, and we'll invest in you.
