- Lead, coach, and hold BOH team members accountable to company standards.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of hourly kitchen staff.
- Foster a positive, organized, and high-performing work environment.
- Partner with the Executive Chef and management team to address operational opportunities and team performance.
- Manage BOH schedules and staffing levels to support service and labor goals.
- Monitor labor, food, and supply costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, and invoice accuracy.
- Maintain all kitchen systems, logs, and operational procedures.
- Support budget goals and company initiatives focused on profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and labor regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness throughout all kitchen areas.
- Conduct routine food safety, sanitation, and operational audits.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Ensure proper product handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures are followed.
- Partner with culinary and restaurant leadership to deliver consistent guest experiences.
- Support service execution by monitoring kitchen efficiency and ticket times.
- Assist during peak business periods to ensure operational success.
- Use guest feedback and operational data to drive continuous improvement.
- 2+ years of kitchen management, culinary management, or restaurant leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, inventory control, and food cost management.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing hourly team members.
- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Current city and state food safety certifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
