Position Summary:
As a Kitchen Manager, you will oversee BOH operations, food quality, and kitchen team development to ensure efficiency, consistency, and a positive work culture. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong problem-solving skills, food cost and labor control expertise, and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor the BOH team, ensuring efficient operations and high food quality.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and food costs to ensure profitability and waste control.
- Effectively manage labor costs by creating efficient schedules, monitoring staffing needs, and controlling overtime.
- Manage kitchen staff scheduling, performance, and development.
- Work closely with FOH leadership to ensure seamless service and communication.
- Control food and labor costs, manage prep schedules, and maintain food consistency to ensure financial success.
What They’re Looking For:
- Tough-minded problem solvers who excel in high-volume kitchen environments.
- 3+ years of BOH leadership experience in casual dining or high-volume kitchens.
- Proven ability to control food and labor costs, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
- Strong understanding of food safety, labor cost management, and team leadership.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits:
- 5-day work weeks
- Hourly rate and eligible for overtime pay
- Performance-based bonus paid every period (13 periods per year).
