Ask us how we do it at the Y- it's awesome!Supplemental insurance benefitsWhat is needed for this job as our Kid Zone Supervisor:18+ years of age2+ years of experience working in child care - does not have to be professionalPossess leadership skills or experienceAre able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Kid Zone Supervisor:Maintaining a fun, safe, and clean environment for children to play and learnOffers assistance to co-workers; frees hands to help othersAsks the children questions and builds on that information during subsequent visitsGreets parents with a smile; learns their names whenever possible; asks parents open-ended questions and builds on that information during subsequent visitsConsistently greets parents at pick-up with positive feedback about their children, even if the ensuing negative feedback is necessary; ends the conversation with an affirmationInteracts with co-workers and members respectfullyVigilantly monitor the children and their environmentPrevention of risk, bullying, and misbehaviorCommunicates with the team on duty to prioritize the current tasks at handFollows all opening/closing procedures - without direction from the Lead - when working during opening/closing shiftsAttends required organizational and departmental meetingsDemonstrates a willingness to further understand child development concepts and/or behavior management skills through materials provided by SupervisorWhat you can expect:Support from an amazing team which includes training you on expectationsOpportunities to learn & grow at the YMCABeing a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community strongerGreat members to work with every day!YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
