Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic account plans for priority IDNs and health systems
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-Suite, pharmacy leadership, medical directors, and population health stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve IDN and hospital patient access, formulary positioning, and clinical pathway inclusion
- Navigate complex account structures including GPOs, IDNs, ACOs, specialty pharmacies, and integrated care models
- Collaborate with sales, medical affairs, market access, and patient support services to support planned and compliant execution strategies
- Track and analyze account performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly
- Analyze local market trends and develop, execute and monitor performance and results to support appropriate patient utilization
- Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Preferred degree in sciences (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM background)
- 5 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience
- 3+ years in a key account management or IDN engagement role or equivalent education and experience
- Proven track record of consistent high performance engaging and working with complex health systems and organized customers
- Strong understanding of formulary processes, care delivery models, navigating patient journeys and account-based selling strategies
- Knowledge of cardiovascular and heart failure marketplace is highly preferred
- Experience in collaborating across Sales, Market Access, and Marketing teams
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record that meets Esperion employment standards
