Kentucky Licensed Coder I

To ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance, the full-time Kentucky Licensed Coder I will abstract information and assign valid CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCs codes while working remotely. Key responsibilities Accurately abstract information and assign appropriate coding into billing systems while ensuring compliance with guidelines Review and resolve coding denials and complete charge sessions in assigned work queues promptly Maintain communication with office managers and providers, and participate in special projects as assigned Required qualifications High school diploma or GED/equivalent (required) 1-4 years of physician coding experience (preferred) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) accredited by the AAPC (required) Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based (CCS-P), or Certified Coding Assistant (CCA) accredited by AHIMA (required)
