Job Description:
Client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer with strong experience in Java and Karate Framework to support the development and testing of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions while ensuring the highest quality standards across the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Java development and test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Karate Framework for API automation testing.
- Experience with RESTful API testing and validation.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Karate.
- Validate APIs, backend services, and application integrations.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and testing needs.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Prior experience supporting financial services clients is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and other DevOps tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
