To support the precertification process, the full-time Kansas Licensed Nurse Consultant will be responsible for researching, reviewing, and processing medical necessity and eligibility for inpatient and outpatient services, while working remotely, hybrid, or onsite. Key responsibilities Independently conduct reviews for medical necessity and determine when to involve medical consultant expertise Research and analyze complex service requests, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations Orient new employees on precertification activities within the department Required qualifications Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical nursing role required Current, active, unrestricted Kansas RN License required Previous experience in Precertification/Utilization Management preferred Acute medical/surgical experience preferred
