Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the K8 School Counselor will advise students and families on academics, career planning, and graduation requirements while utilizing various communication platforms to ensure student success. Key responsibilities Advise students and families on academic and career planning, including course selection and graduation requirements Monitor student progress and well-being, providing support and interventions as needed Coordinate with school teams to develop and implement individual plans for students, including crisis management and support resources Required qualifications Certification in school counseling from any state preferred; or teaching certification required Strong technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products Ability to work remotely and manage communication effectively Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Customer-focused approach with excellent organizational skills
