PURPOSE: The K 1 Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction aligned with students' IEPs and Illinois Learning Standards. The teacher supports students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth through individualized instruction, progress monitoring, collaboration with staff and families, and implementation of evidence-based interventions in a supportive learning environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 Days. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building Principal and/or Dean in accordance with provisions of Board policy.
